Chelsa & Chris are some of the sweetest and most adorable people ever. They got married on a swelteringly hot summer day at Blessed Sacrament church in South Charleston, then threw a party on the rooftop at the Marriott. These two are all smiles, all the time

Chris & Chelsa also incorporated their love of Marvel comics into some of their details. Chelsa’s custom shoes were some of our favorites we saw last year, and all the groomsmen wore different Marvel comic socks and Lego boutonnieres (made by our favorite local florist, Wildwood Watters).

These two also both come from big Filipino families and incorporated some traditional Filipino traditions into their ceremony. We absolutely love Filipino weddings!!

Fun tidbits – One of the groomsmen (EJ) is a DJ for one of our absolute favorite local DJ companies, (Bravo Live) and it was neat to see him play two roles at a wedding. Another groomsmen was a former Oberports groom (and our own wedding DJ!) — so that was also awesome.

We love that Chelsa & Chris gave us so much time for portraits in between the ceremony and the reception. With a large wedding party and a portrait location that’s not in walking distance of the ceremony or reception locations, having a big chunk of time built in for portraits is essential.

And, of course, these two couldn’t send guests home empty-handed: we’ve never seen so many different flavors of cupcakes before, and even better (for donut-lovers like us) were the boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts.
