    Emmy & James in Chicago

Is there anything more wonderful than witnessing a dear friend fall in love? It’s special enough when the people we’re documenting are strangers, but I’ve known Emmy for over a decade (!). The first time I met James I felt like doing cartwheels because he adores Emmy and they have such a great laid back dynamic.

This afternoon in December when we were visiting them and we all bundled up and took photos around their Chicago neighborhood was one of my favorite afternoons of all of 2013, which isn’t surprising at all considering my love of friends, snow, big dogs, and Chicago.

And can we talk about their Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Otis? He was born to be in front of a camera.

Here are our favorite photos from Emmy & James’s snowy afternoon in Chicago!

OMG cutest dog ever! I love that breed. Awesome photos as always 🙂

This is such an idyllic session! I’m so loving the snow. And that picture of the cat. 🙂

All that snow makes me so happy! Also, that’s pretty much the cutest pup ever <3
