Kate and Mike are a couple of super smart, rad folks. Kate works for a progressive religious nonprofit and has an awesome blog called Hey Escapist. Their Ariel Pearl Center Cleveland wedding was really sweet- it’s clear both of them are very loved. At the reception many friends and family spoke very eloquently about how great Kate and Mike are both individually and as a couple.

Kate and Mike have a love of literature (especially Harry Potter) and it featured heavily in the decor of the wedding. The boutonnieres and bouquets were made using pages from Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. And Check out those Harry Potter golden snitch wedding favors!

The Ariel Pearl Center is a new wedding venue in the Old Brooklyn area of Cleveland. This spot was home to a bank in 1923. Kate and Mike set up a photo booth in the bank vault and lined the safe deposit box wall with photos of themselves. This is a gorgeous venue with marbled columns, large arched windows and crystal chandeliers. It exudes class and is a perfect place to get married in Cleveland.

The food at this wedding was so damn good. Taproot Catering provided one of the best wedding meals we saw all year. First, there were the hors d’oeuvres: a glorious spread of delectable cured meats and cheeses (including the awesomely stinky shropshire blue). The main course had everything from Polish boys and mini reubens to seasonal root veggies and a pierogi bar. Steineck’s Donuts provided the dessert with a tasty array of french crullers and glazed cake donuts. I’m going to start drooling all over my keyboard if I continue onward.
